
The Mars Volta unveil cube in LA park that reportedly previews new music
The Mars Volta have set up a new box in LA's Grand Park called a Voltacube, and according to fans who have visited the cube, it features a preview of new music.
Yesterday (19 June) The Mars Volta shared some coordinates on social media directing fans to LA's Grand Park, and upon arrival, fans found a mysterious audio/visual installation dubbed the Voltacube.

While no phones were allowed inside the box, multiple comments on Reddit claim the cube previewed a new song. One user called WolbachiaBurgers wrote, "Song was interesting, not as crazy or intricate as other tracks. A lot more “mellow” I’d say. Couldn’t really hear the guitars, a whole lot of hand percussions but overall it was decent!"
Away from the Voltacube, fans noticed that The Mars Volta wiped their social media accounts, hinting at a new era.

Back in 2019, The Mars Volta's Cedric Bixler-Zavala confirmed in a now-deleted tweet that a new chapter is "happening".
