The Libertines looking for new record deal
After announcing a flurry of reunion shows, including a Hyde Park date this summer, The Libertines are now reportedly scouting for a new record deal to capitalise on their (second) comeback.
Perhaps to be taken with a pinch of salt, but sources at The Sun report that the London group are “touting themselves around labels to sign a deal on the back of the [Hyde Park] show”. This follows news that the band will showcase new material at the British Summer Time festival show on 5 July.
Meanwhile, Doherty, Barat and co will also headline Benicàssim Festival in Barcelona this summer. Ahead of these dates, watch Libertines’ video for “Don’t Look Back Into The Sun” (released on Rough Trade) below:
