The Kills announce rarities album with previously unreleased demo "Raise Me"
The Kills have announced a new rarities album titled Little Bastards, and have shared a previously unreleased demo of "Raise Me" as the lead single.
"Raise Me" is a previously unheard demo from The Kills' Midnight Boom era, and is the first of 20 tracks to be shared from the duo's rarities LP.
The LP's title Little Bastards is inspired by the duo's affectionate nickname that they gave to a drum machine. The Kills' Jamie Hince says, "It was a Roland 880, which isn’t strictly a drum machine – it's a sequencer, and an eight-track recorder, with its own drum machine built in, and that’s what we’d record all our beats on."
Little Bastards will feature Midnight Boom digital bonus track "Night Train", a Screamin’ Jay Hawkins cover, and various b-sides from the duo's 7" singles between 2002-2009.
