The Killers share epic new Christmas single "Dirt Sledding"
The Killers have made good on their annual festive offering: this year it arrives in the form of "Dirt Sledding" featuring Ryan Pardey and Richard Dreyfuss.
From its hazy, mournful opening phase and haunting music box melodies, the track implodes into rock 'n' roll refrains, stadium choruses and carnival pianos - and that's only the half of it. What should be a carcrash of influences is instead a free-wheelin' journey of festive fun and tightly honed talents.
"Dirt Sledding" completes the band's unofficial Santa Trilogy of Christmas songs (following 2007’s "Don’t Shoot Me Santa" and 2012’s "I Feel It In My Bones"). It stars Ryan Pardey as Santa, and features a spoken word interlude from Richard Dreyfuss.
"Dirt Sledding" is the tenth Christmas single to come from The Killers, with all sales proceeds going to the Global Fund to fight AIDS via (RED), and it's available to download now.
