The Joy Formidable share their cover of the Twin Peaks theme, give update on new LP
Welsh rockers The Joy Formidable have shared their cover of the Twin Peaks theme tune.
Originally composed by Angelo Badalamenti for the cult TV show, it's also recently been given a rework by experimental outfit Xiu Xiu.
The track that The Joy Formidable have tackled is actually called "Falling", and in other versions features lyrics penned by David Lynch (the show's creator) - the instrumental edition went on to become the harrowing main music.
Most recent LP Wolf's Law was released in 2013. The trio have been working on the follow up for a while, and spoke to Consequence Of Sound about it, saying: "We’re almost finished, just getting ready to mix. We made the record in North Wales, in our studio, The Red Brick. We’ve taken our time, made something special. We might preview some stuff this autumn at a few of the festivals we’re playing. See how we’re fucking feeling."
