The Joy Formidable release new single "Dance Of The Lotus" alongside announcement of London show
Welsh trio The Joy Formidable have returned from their break with a new single and news of a headline London show.
Dark and atmospheric, The Joy Formidable waste no time in earning back their loud description with new single "Dance Of The Lotus".
Boston production team Trllm made the animated video, inspired by artwork of bassist Rhydian Dafydd.
The welsh group's new track comes with news of a headline show at London's The Lexington, on 22 August.
Expanding on the track's symbolism, lead vocalist Ritzy Bryan said, “We wanted to share this album track with the people who have supported us to give them a glimpse of what we’ve been working on, and this track is right at the heart of our new record. It’s magical and lonely, like a night-time walk in the desert when you’re trying to escape from yourself and the chaos you’ve created.”
Taking their home of Wales to the Utah/Arizona border, The Joy Formidable fused their usual barbaric melodies with the dust-fuelled surroundings of the dessert to bring "Dance Of The Lotus".
