Brooklyn fivepiece, The Hold Steady are readying a new covers EP ahead of their next full-length, expected during 2014.
The band have taken to PledgeMusic to fund the five-track short-player, offering such incentives as jogging sessions, haircuts and dedications from the group’s members in return for fans forking up the cash up front. Each song on the covers EP has been chosen by a different member of the band.
They also note that their new album, and follow up to 2010′s Heaven Is Whenever, is expected shortly.
