The Great Gatsby soundtrack to be released on gold and platinum vinyl
Giving a different meaning to gold and platinum albums, the soundtrack to the upcoming The Great Gatsby movie is set to be pressed on precious metal.
It had already been revealed that Jack White’s Third Man Records will issue the vinyl release for the OST on 11 June. Before then however, a limited edition offering has been unveiled – with the score coming out on ”blindingly reflective metalized discs” tomorrow (Friday 10 May). $250 will get you the pair of gold and platinum vinyl “housed in a entirely unique laser-cut wooden LP jacket riveted to aluminum spines”.
