The Flaming Lips to play My Morning Jacket's Mexican festival

My Morning Jacket are set to follow the likes of Weezer and host their own festival, throwing a Mexican party south of the U.S border early next year. Now they’ve announced that The Flaming Lips will play the event.

Dubbed One Big Holiday, the fest will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico between 26-30 January 2014. Jim James and co promise ”spontaneous artist involvement, cultural activities & excursions” as well as ”an off-the-hook dance party that promises plenty of surprises.”

The Flaming Lips are among the first wave of acts announced, while My Morning Jacket themselves will play three sets throughout the five-day event.
