The Flaming Lips are known for ripping up the rule book, but now they’ve changed the whole meaning of April Fools by pulling a joke days early.
Yes, it seems that their recently-released companion album to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon was actually a prank for Funny Or Die. They have taken part in a series of videos for the comedy website, including a public announcement that they’re selling out, one where Portlandia‘s Fred Armisen replaces Coyne as frontman and more.
