The Flaming Lips' collab album with Ke$ha scrapped

Ke$ha was probably one of the most unlikely “friend” to appear on The Flaming Lips’ recent limited-edition 12″ The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends. Having struck up a bond with frontman Wayne Coyne, the two acts were said to be working on a collaborative effort called Lip$ha. That, however, doesn’t seem to be in the works any longer.
Taking to Twitter, Coyne confirmed the news, writing: “As of now… sadly there will be no Lip$ha” The reason? Well, that was just as vague, with the singer adding: “I can’t say why… It is sad…”
