The Fall's Mark E Smith has died
Mark E Smith - frontman of legendary Manchester post-punks The Fall - has passed away, his manager has confirmed in a statement.
The 60-year-old musician passed away this morning (24 January) at his home. The cause of death has not been revealed, but his manager promises a "more detailed statement" in the coming days.

The Fall were formed in 1976, and despite a rotating cast of bandmates Smith remained a sole constant, releasing over 30 records with the band alone. Last year's New Facts Emerged was the most recent release.
Last year the band were forced to cancel a number of shows after Smith fell ill.
