The Districts share "Ordinary Day", the first single from their next record
Philly foursome The Districts are back with "Ordinary Day", their first new music since 2015's debut album A Flourish And A Spoil.
The track, mixed by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen, Explosions in the Sky), previews a new record due out later this year.
"‘Ordinary Day’ deals with a sort of personal alienation and the realization that you and the world you've existed in have changed," says the band's Robby Grote. "Sort of the feeling of coming through a tunnel and having no way of relating to things in the same way as before. It was written in late summer/early fall and came together quite naturally... personal lives were in flux and we were sitting around Philly losing our minds."
The band are set to showcase new material when they hit the road later this month - find out more.
