The Big Moon, William Doyle and more contribute to 54-track Group Therapy charity compilation album
Group Therapy Collective has released Group Therapy Vol. 2, a 54-track charity compilation album featuring contributions from The Big Moon, William Doyle and many more.
Group Therapy Vol. 2 follows last year's Group Therapy Vol. 1 compilation that landed in May, and money raised from the sale of the compilation will be split between Black Minds Matter UK and Help Musicians.
The new charity compilation album includes 54 tracks, some of which are demos, alternate versions, covers, remixes, and one-off collaborations.
Artists that have contributed to Group Therapy Vol. 1 include The Big Moon, William Doyle, Katy J Pearson, Drug Store Romeos and The Orielles, Chubby and the Gang, TV Priest, Sinead O'Brien, Crows, Faux Real, Do Nothing, Yard Act, Phoebe Green, Blackaby and more.
The Big Moon say of being involved, "We're so so happy to be part of this compilation. It's been a long year of not enough time on the road and too much time in our heads so it feels good to be nestled in amongst some other amazing artists and raising money and awareness for Help Musicians and Black Minds Matter. We're grateful to our therapists and the other people in our life who support our mental health and believe these support networks should be available to everyone. Hope you enjoy!!"
Group Therapy add, "Poor Mental Health is something that we’ve both suffered from over the years, it’s very isolating, and is often hard to ask for help. We both work in the music and the creative sector and it’s a place that is known to increase mental health problems. When we started Group Therapy, we didn't realise how long this pandemic would go on for, it's left a universal feeling of uncertainty and anxiety, and those who may not have experienced mental health problems may now be experiencing them. Now more than ever we need to be supporting causes that allow people to access support and opening up conversations about mental health."
