New Zealand group The Beths are back with "A Real Thing", marking their first new outing of 2022.
"A Real Thing" marks The Beths' first release since last year's Auckland, New Zealand, 2020 live album, and is, according to lead singer Liz Stokes, a "kind of anxiety dream."
Stokes continues, "It's a bit muddled, a bit frantic, a bit sinister. It's what came out of my guitar in late 2020, post NZ election (and U.S. election). I was limply reaching for optimism about the future, but was really just marinating in dread."
In July 2020 The Beths released their second album Jump Rope Gazers.
The Beths' "A Real Thing" single is out now on Carpark Records and Ivy League. They'll play London's O2 Forum Kentish Town on 4 April. Tickets are on sale now from thebeths.com.
