The Bad Seeds' Jim Sclavunos shares debut solo track "Holiday Song" to aid Music Venue Trust
Jim Sclavunos of The Bad Seeds has released his debut solo track "Holiday Song", and proceeds from the track will go to Music Venue Trust.
"Holiday Song" arrived on New Year's Day as Sclavurnos' first solo outing.
The track is produced by Sclavurnos, and features Spider Stacy (The Pogues) on tin whistle, Terry Edwards (Gallon Drunk) on fluegelhorn, Dave Sherman (Nicole Atkins) on piano and Sarah Lowe on backing vocals.
Nick Cave says of Sclavunos' new single, "Beautiful and complex song and a sweet and generous offering. Really beautiful and true to the bone!"
All proceeds from sales of the track in January will be donated to Music Venue Trust's Grassroots Music Venue Crisis Fund.
On 22 December Music Venue Trust revealed that their #SaveOurVenues campaign that launched in April 2020 had raised over £3.8million for grassroots music venues so far.
