The Avalanches share two new songs featuring Jamie xx, Neneh Cherry and more
The Avalanches have returned with two new tracks today (22 July) - "Wherever You Go" featuring Jamie xx, Neneh Cherry and CLYPSO, and "Reflecting Light" with Sananda Maitreya and Vashti Bunyan.
"Wherever You Go" and "Reflecting Light" follow on from The Avalanches' March outing "Running Red Lights" that featured Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and LA rapper Pink Siifu.
The Avalanches' "Wherever You Go" track features co-production from Jamie xx and piano by The Clash's Mick Jone, sand includes samples from the Voyager Golden Record, which was sent into space with Voyager 1 and 2 in 1977.
"Reflecting Light" features vocals from Sananda Maritreya, and is built around a sample of Vashti Bunyan's "Glow Worms" track that featured on his 1970 LP Just Another Diamond Day.
As well as releasing "Running Red Lights" this year, The Avalanches also teamed up with Blood Orange on "We Will Always Love You" in February.
The duo are yet to follow up their 2016 album Wildflower.
