The Avalanches reveal Since They Left us teaser trailer
The Avalanches have posted a mysterious mini-documentary featuring interviews with Father John Misty, Danny Brown, Ariel Pink, and more.
Kirin K. Callinan and Royal Trux's Jennifer Herrema also appear.
The clip strongly hints at the release of their long-awaited second record, although it doesn't really give much away. Various hints and rumours from the past 15 years are included, with collaborators speaking about the mythical new album and their lack of knowledge regarding its release. The clip ends with a title card that reads Since They Left Us: What Ever Happened To The Avalanches? (which sounds an awful lot more like a full-length documentary/movie than an album title, although it could easily just be the band fucking about). The video ends with the words: "Coming soon... hopefully."
Any new release will follow 2000's seminal LP Since I Left You.
This two-minute video follows the announcement of their live return back in April - their first tour in almost a decade includes a range of shows in the UK and Europe. Their tour begins 1 June in Ramsgate.
