The Avalanches are releasing new music very soon
After 16 long years away, beloved Australian beat merchants The Avalanches are coming back with new music.
Is it the fabled follow up to 2000 debut Since I Left You? Time will tell. Probably. There's been lots of talk recently about the outfit's long-awaited return to music making, especially after they confirmed a live return.
Zane Lowe confirmed the comeback on his Beats 1 show, sharing a teaser about the outfit's return. The show/interview, featuring new music, will air midnight ET on 2 June - 5am UK time. Lowe said: “Coming up at some point in the next 12 hours, new music will emerge and you will hear the first new interview with Tony [Di Blasi] and Robbie [Chater] aka the Avalanches.”
The Avalanches make their grand return tonight in Ramsgate.
Last month the band shared a teaser trailer for Since They Left Us, a maybe documentary/new album possibly (?).
