The Avalanches announce third album We Will Always Love You
The Avalanches have announced their third album We Will Always Love You, as well as unveiling the artwork for the LP.
After releasing singles including Rivers Cuomo and Pink Siifu collaboration "Running Red Lights", "Wherever You Go" featuring Jamie xx, Neneh Cherry and CLYPSO, "Reflecting Light" with Sananda Maitreya and Vashti Bunyan, and Blood Orange collaboration "We Will Always Love You", The Avalanches have announced their upcoming LP We Will Always Love You.
When announcing their new album on socials last night (9 September), The Avalanches shared the album artwork which is designed by Jonathan Zawada, and features an image of Ann Druyan, (Creative Director of the Voyager Golden Record Project). The duo revealed that her "cosmic love story inspired this music"
The Avalanches wrote, "In keeping with the album's theme of everlasting love as an undying vibration, Ann's image was run through a spectograph, turned into sound, and back again. The image remains hidden, deep within in the grooves of the music, for you to discover if you wish. An exploration of the vibrational relationship between light, sound and spirit, We Will Always Love You will be available for pre-order next week, with more details to follow soon."
