The Avalanches announce first live shows in almost a decade
The Avalanches have confirmed a handful of comeback shows - including a stop at London's Field Day this summer.
The Avalanches made their last live performance in 2007, and last DJed as The Avalanches in 2011.
The four dates - including two at Barcelona's Primavera and on at Splendour In The Grass in their native Australia - arrive after rampant speculation following a dramatic social media overhaul.
Although the band hasn't had an album out since their debut Since I Left You in 2000, there's still a substantial appetite for a follow up. The band haven't confirmed anything about new music yet, but this is an exciting step.
