Tegan and Sara's High School memoir to be adapted into series by IMDb TV
High School, the joint memoir from Tegan and Sara, has been picked up by IMDb TV to be adapted into an original series.
Tegan and Sara released their best-selling memoir High School in 2019, and now Variety reports that the twins' memoir will be developed into an original series by IMDb TV.
High School will be executive produced by Tegan and Sara, as well as writer/director/actor Clea DuVall.
The scripted series is described as "a transcendent story of first loves and first songs", and is set to be an IMDb TV exclusive.
Tegan and Sara said of the series in a statement, "We are incredibly excited to be working with Lauren, Ryan, and the fantastic IMDb TV team to bring High School to life and apologise in advance to our mother for forcing her to relive this period of time with us again. We’ve made casting suggestions on her behalf to the incomparable Clea DuVall and our wonderful partners at Plan B."
Lauren Anderson and Ryan Pirozzi, co-heads of content and programming at IMDb TV added, "Tegan and Sara’s honest, vulnerable and deeply engaging memoir has captivated readers and we look forward to their authentic voice and Clea’s unique perspective being brought to life in this adaptation."
