Taylor Swift will be first female artist to win BRITs Global Icon award
At tomorrow's (11 May) BRIT Awards Taylor Swift will become the first female to be presented with the Global Icon award.
Taylor Swift has been announced as this year's recipient of the BRITs Global Icon award, which will make her the first female artist to be presented with the award.

Previous winners of the Global Icon award include Elton John, Robbie Williams and David Bowie.
Like all winners at the BRIT Awards 2021, Swift will be presented with two trophies, designed by Es Devlin OBE and Yinka Ilori MBE. Winners are encouraged to give the second smaller trophy to someone "they consider worthy".
Tomorrow's ceremony, which will feature performances from The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Griff and more, will be the first major indoor music event in the UK to host a live audience. 4,000 people are set to attend the 2021 ceremony, with over half of the spaces allocated to frontline workers. The event is part of the UK government's scientific Events Research Programme.
