Taylor Swift releasing new music this year says Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran has said in a new interview that long-time pal Taylor Swift will be releasing something at "the end of the year."
Speaking to the BBC's Mark Savage about his new record ÷ (Divide), the popstar revealed the decision to release his new album was based on last year's hectic musical schedule.
"I think this year is going to be the high point," Sheeran said when asked about the best moments of the past five years. "I have a feeling about it. 17 is my lucky number, and everyone I was scared of releasing of albums around me released them all last year - people like Beyoncé and The Weeknd and Bruno Mars."
He also adds that "Taylor [Swift] isn't going to be releasing until probably the end of this year," pointing out that "Christmas is the smartest time to release because that's when everyone buys records."
There we have it. The countdown is on.
Swift's most recent record, 1989, was released in 2014 - apparently the follow up is gonna be a "hip-hop and R&B" fiesta with input from Drake.
