Taylor Swift makes cameo on season finale of 'New Girl'

“About to watch the New Girl season finale,” Taylor Swift tweeted earlier this week. And for good reason, as she continued: “I totally would be even if I wasn’t in this episode”. Yep, alt teen culture collided as the country-singer-come-pop-icon made an acting appearance on the Zooey Deschanel-starring FOX show.

Spoiler alert: Swift played the character of Elaine, the poetic, artsy “true love” type of Shivrang, who was in the middle of getting married to Cece, who had just revealed she was in love with Schmidt. This all ends with a double ditching at the altar.
