Tanukichan announces debut album Sundays, shares lead track "Lazy Love"
Sundays is revealed as the debut album from fuzz-fuelled Tanukichan, who shares lead summery single "Lazy Love".
Angelic vocals surrounded by the rough, reverb-heavy guitars on "Lazy Love" highlights Tanukichan's likeability and quality sound.
Having announced Sundays as her debut album, Toro Y Moi's Chaz Bear helped to produce the 10 track LP, which will drop in July.
Oakland-based Hannah van Loon reignites a new freshness and nostalgia as Tanukichan that shines bright amongst the crowded guitar music scope.
Mixing dreamy vocals and infectiously rough riffs, Tanukichan explains how she went about naming the record, "Sometimes for me, it feels easier to write songs about things than to talk. A lot of things in life are layered and paradoxical, but with songs it always seems simpler. I settled on the name Sundays as the title of the record because it encapsulated how the record felt to me."
