Tame Impala and Pond's Jay Watson returns with new GUM track "Out In The World"
Jay Watson of Tame Impala and Pond is back with a new GUM track "Out In The World".
"Out In The World" is Watson's first new GUM track since his 2018 album The Underdog.
Watson says of the new single, ""Out In The World" is about wanting to give up and never talk to anyone ever again after something goes wrong. Some people have that feeling all the time - it’s crippling and isolating. It sounds like light coming through half-shut blinds. It’s not possible for all, but for me, I force myself to go out again, or get on stage, or do whatever it is I have to do to keep moving on."
The new offering is performed, produced, and mixed by Watson, and features some sax from Christian Ruggiero (Koi Child) in the second half.
"Out In The World" will also be released on a 7" single with a cover of Ballroom's "It’s A Sad World" on the B-side.
