Tame Impala's Kevin Parker joins The Wiggles to play "Elephant" and "Hot Potato" at Perth show
Tame Impala's Kevin Parker joined The Wiggles at a Perth show over the weekend to play "Elephant" and "Hot Potato".
In March last year The Wiggles' covered Tame Impala's "Elephant" for triple j's Like A Version series, which claimed the top spot in triple j's Hottest 100 of 2021 countdown, marking the first time a triple j Like A Version cover has topped the list.
After praising The Wiggles and their version of "Elephant", Parker joined them in Perth for a live show over the weekend, and performed "Elephant" and "Hot Potato" with them.
Pitchfork reports that Parker said in a statement, "When the opportunity presented itself to perform live with the Wiggles - how could I resist? That was one of the most enjoyable things I’ve done!"
Blue Wiggle, real name Anthony Field added, "We were so happy to have Kevin Parker on stage with us in a very special musical moment! We are so grateful to Tame Impala for the song "Elephant" and then to have him perform "Hot Potato" with us also - it was a real pinch-me moment!"
