Talking Heads and Salt-N-Pepa to receive Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards

The Recording Academy has announced its 2021 Special Merit Awards, with Talking Heads and Salt-N-Pepa among the artists receiving Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Talking Heads and Salt-N-Pepa will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 2021 Grammys alongside Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Lionel Hampton, Marilyn Horne, and Selena.
Trustees Awards will go to Ed Cherney, Benny Golson and Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, while Daniel Weiss is the Technical Grammy Award recipient.
2019's Lifetime Achievement honourees included the late John Prine, Iggy Pop, Public Enemy, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Roberta Flack and more.
Last week Fiona Apple called out the Grammys following Dr. Luke's nomination under the pseudonym Tyson Trax.
