SZA says new album will feature material that made her feel something in her heart and gut
SZA has shared some new information on her next album, revealing that it'll include material that made her feel something in her heart and gut.
This summer will mark four years since the release of SZA's debut album CTRL.
After returning last year with Ty Dolla $ign collaboration "Hit Different" and "Good Days" over the Christmas holidays, SZA has spoken to Cosmopolitan about the material that will feature on her long-awaited second album.
SZA told Cosmopolitan, "This album is going to be the shit that made me feel something in my...here and in here [heart and gut]."
She added, "That’s what’s going to go on the album. I’m making all different types of shit every day from different places in my spirit."
Looking back on 2020, SZA said, "2020 definitely affected my ability to create and just the way I see everything. It forced me to restructure."
Last month SZA confirmed that she's already collaborated with Kali Uchis. It's currently unclear if SZA will feature on a remix of Kali Uchis' PARTYNEXTDOOR collaboration "fue mejor", or if Kali Uchis will feature on SZA's unreleased "Jodie Foster" track.
