SZA joins Doechii on new remix of "Persuasive"
The original version of Doechii's "Persuasive" landed in March, and after teasing the remix on socials earlier this week, the full version featuring SZA has arrived.
Pitchfork reports that Doechii said of the collaboration, "I created "Persuasive" to uplift people and bring communities together, so having SZA jump on the song was a perfect fit because I’ve always connected with others over her music."
"Knowing that SZA is with [Top Dawg Entertainment] was what originally got me most excited about being on this label, so now that we have a song together it’s a full-circle moment,” Doechii added. "She really ATE! This collaboration is everything I always imagined it to be."
The remix of "Persuasive" will be SZA's first outing since last month's Ctrl (Deluxe) album, which featured seven additional tracks, and will follow Doechii's "Bitch I'm Nice" single that landed earlier this month.
At Wireless Festival earlier this month, SZA revealed that Doja Cat will feature on "Shirt".
SZA recently revealed that it'll no longer be a "SZA summer" as her second album is being held back by Top Dawg Entertainment's Punch and RCA Records.
