SZA collaborator Towkio responds to sexual harassment allegation
A woman has accused Chicago rapper Towkio of sexual harassment, leading to the rapper denying the claim in a post on social media.
Towkio, known for his collaborations with Chance The Rapper, Justin Bieber, and SZA, was accused of sexual harrassment last night (6 January) by a woman who revealed her ordeal in a Twitter thread.
Responding to the allegation, Towkio uploaded a long note to socials, where he revealed, "To provide necessary context, she and I were in an ongoing consensual sexual relationship dating back to 2014 which even included other women. I only say this to provide context and in no way to victim shame."
The rapper went on to deny the accusation, "It is of upmost importance to me that she and the entire world know with 100% certainty and my hand to God, that I would never ever engage in intercourse with any women without their full consent."
He ended his response asking to talk with the accuser, "It is my hope that her and I can engage in a dialogue in a place where she feels comfortable to discuss our past relationship and her feelings.”
