SXSW announces third wave of acts, total reaches almost 1000
SXSW's lineup is shaping up to rank among the best of the calendar year so far, and with this third wave of acts, that claim is bolstered immensely.
Quite a hefty bunch of names have already been announced for SXSW, but the Austin showcase have bundled on a few more, taking the total number of officially-announced acts almost to 1000.
Joining the bill are Best Coast, Will Butler, Brooke Candy, Circa Waves, Clean Bandit, Coves, Elliphant, Emmy The Great, Farao, Fyfe, Gengahr, Girl Band, Girlpool, Juce, Kate Boy, Kelela, Lapalux, Laurel, Marina & The Diamonds, Mozart’s Sister, Mikhael Paskalev, Natalie Prass, San Cisco, Seinabo Sey, Son Lux, Tove Styrke, Kate Tempest, Torres, VÉRITÉ, Ryn Weaver, Laura Welsh, Matthew E White, Alex Winston and many, many more.
The new additions also include two of our five Ones To Watch - Shura and Alex G - and a selection of our newcomers, like Daniel Wilson, Kwabs and Tei Shi.
SXSW 2015 will take place across various venues in Austin, Texas from 13-22 March. There will be a full interactive arts, film, and music lineup. SXSW say that "this is only a portion of the bands that will be performing at the SXSW Music Festival. Schedules and more band announcements will be announced soon."
