Swimming Tapes reveal new single "Easy Strand"
Swimming Tapes break their silence with "Easy Strand", their first offering of 2018.
The London via Northern Ireland five-piece Swimming Tapes are back with their first track since 2017's Soft Sea Blue EP.
"Easy Strand" is a melodic and breezy offering, Speaking about their new release, Swimming Tapes explain, “‘Easy Strand" is a supportive nod to our younger selves about how the passing of time distorts memories. Moments you thought were trivial and pointless actually remain embedded in your memory as beautiful, worthwhile and meaningful times. It was written as part of a collection of songs for our album but when everything was finished we felt it didn’t quite sit right with the other tracks on the record, therefore we’re giving it its own moment in the sun.”
Their charming melodies will see the five-piece embark on a UK tour, including a sold out performance tonight opening for HAERTS at London's Paper Dress Vintage, hosted by Best Fit. They return to London's Moth Club on 20 November. Find out more.
