Suuns share new Jerusalem In My Heart collaboration "BREATHE"
Suuns have teamed up with Jerusalem In My Heart for their latest FICTION EP track "BREATHE".
"BREATHE" is the second track to be shared from Suuns' forthcoming EP, landing after last month's "PRAY" single.
Suuns have also announced that they'll be donating all proceeds from sales of "BREATHE" and their FICTION EP (digital and physical versions) to the Basmeh and Zeitooneh Relief and Development for the next 48 hours.
The band says of their new release, "This is us and Radwan Ghazi Moumneh having a good time, doing our thing, a moment in time among so many in our long and deep friendship together. Through him, we've had the privilege to visit and play in Beirut, a city of resilience and electricity, whose spirited people have become our enduring friends. We've been touched by the warmth of the people and changed by the depth of the music. Our love for it is deep, and it was beyond heartbreaking to witness the tragic destruction of August 4, 2020, and the suffering that persists even as the news media moves on."
Suuns add, "For the first 48 hours, all sales from your purchase of "BREATHE", and both physical and digital pre-orders of the FICTION EP, will go directly to Basmeh and Zeitooneh Relief and Development, a foundation that supports the most marginalized communities in the Middle East. That is to say, NOW IS THE TIME. This is our small way of reminding you to keep Beirut in your thoughts and in your payee list, and to say to Beirut that we love you."
FICTION will be Suuns' first collection of tracks since their 2018 album Felt.
The EP was born out of a year of limited resources and contact, which provoked Suuns to comb through music they've created over the years. The finished product is a six-track EP of live recordings that were rediscovered and reworked during the lockdown period.
