Susanne Sundfør announces new album Music For People In Trouble
Susanne Sundfør has announced new album Music For People In Trouble and shared the enchanting first single, "Undercover".
Music For People In Trouble is the follow up to 2015's Ten Love Songs and arrives after a period of wanderlust that saw the Norwegian artist "travelling across continents to contrary environments and politically contrasting world, from North Korea to the Amazon jungle."
"We are living in a time of great changes," Sundfør explains. "Everything is moving so rapidly, sometimes violently, sometimes dauntingly. I think a lot of people experience anxiety these days. I wanted to address these emotions on the album."
As well as the LP news and lead single, Sundfør has confirmed a run of solo dates for this summer, including a performance at the BBC Proms on 25 July as part of the Scott Walker Tribute. Sundfør will also play London's Union Chapel, Glasgow's CCA, and Dublin's Sugar Club in October. Head to her website for full dates and ticket info.
Susanne will be doing a limited run of intimate solo performances for the ‘Music For People In Trouble’ tour and will be performing at the BBC Proms Scott Walker Tribute at the Royal Albert Hall on the 25th July.
