Surfer Blood sign to Fierce Panda, announce new record 1000 Palms
Surfer Blood have exciting news: they've signed to Fierce Panda, and will release new album 1000 Palms this May.
The Floridean rock quartet released its predecessor - Pythons - in 2013.
The lead track, "Dorian", got its first airing from Huw Stephens last night (16 February), and Surfer Blood frontman John Paul Pitts says that “this song has everything from classic 80's synth patches to fucked-up vocoder sound collages, embracing a series of left-turns that make it one of the most unique songs in our catalogue.”
1000 Palms is out on 11 May via Fierce Panda.
Meanwhile, a copy of album opener "Grand Inquisitor" has found its way online - check that out below. The tracklist can be found after.
