Superorganism share Stephen Malkmus, Gen Hoshino and Pi Ja Ma collaboration "Into The Sun"
Superorganism have teamed up with Stephen Malkmus, Gen Hoshino and Pi Ja Ma for their latest World Wide Pop single "Into The Sun".
"Into The Sun" is the fifth preview of Superorganism's World Wide Pop album, following last month's "On & On" and earlier outings "crushed.zip", "Teenager" featuring CHAI and Pi Ja Ma, and "It's Raining" with Stephen Malkmus and Dylan Cartlidge. The new song arrives with a AEVA-directed video.
Superorganism's Harry says of the track, "The whole record is all about combining different worlds and scales, so it was a real thrill to be able to mix Gen into a track with Malkmus and Pi Ja Ma. It's a carefree song, somewhat about being in your own bubble, so bringing those French, American, and Japanese artists into that world reconnects the SuperO universe with these other bubbles - a bit of a multiverse!"
Orono adds, "It all came together super naturally, a cute little lovebug song moment."
World Wide Pop will follow Superorganism's 2018 self-titled debut.
