Sunflower Bean announce new EP with electrifying lead track "Come For Me"
New York's Sunflower Bean return with news of a four-track EP dropping next year, announced alongside the intoxicating first single, "Come For Me".
"Come For Me" was debuted as Annie Mac's Hottest Record In The World on her BBC Radio 1 show this evening (30 October).
Speaking about the new single, vocalist Julia Cumming explains, “This song was inspired by inner strength, power, and sexual freedom. In 2018 there is no time to waste and no time for shame. This song is a declaration of that. Do you really want to come for me? Do you really want to waste my time? The song is a dare, a threat, and a beckoning.”
Sunflower Bean's new four-track EP is titled King Of The Dudes, and is the trio's first project since their Twentytwo in Blue album that landed in March.
Expanding on their forthcoming EP, Sunflower Bean comment, “This EP does not give a fuck, it’s reactionary, and a sharpened response to our times. Death, birth, aggression, addiction, and power. Twentytwo in Blue allowed us to find our strength and on King Of The Dudes we use it, no holds barred.”
