Sun June unveil new track "Easy"
Sun June, who play Best Fit's Five Day Forecast in January 2022, have delivered a new song titled "Easy", which arrives alongside news of an expanded edition of their February album Somewhere.
"Easy" is one of three new tracks that will be included on Somewhere +3, the expanded version of Sun June's February album Somewhere.
The group's Laura Colwell says of the new release, ""Easy" is a romantic struggle song. It’s about love and partnership and longstanding arguments that are hard to get past. We started working on it after quarantine was lifted. Everyone had been cloistered alone for months, so frustration was easy to tap into. At the same time, it was joyous and cathartic to play together again, so the song came out upbeat and optimistic too. We loved getting to return to Good Danny’s studio to record - it was easy to find the sounds we wanted and get back into the Somewhere vibe."
Somewhere +3 is set to arrive in January 2022, a few days before Sun June play Best Fit's annual Five Day Forecast new music showcase at the Lexington in London on 18 January.
