Sufjan Stevens covers Nick Drake's "Pink Moon" for new 7" single
Sufjan Stevens has recorded a cover of Nick Drake's 1972 classic "Pink Moon" that appears on an exclusive 7" single that will accompany a special edition of artist Marcel Dzama's Pink Moon book.
Stevens' cover of Drake's original will feature on the 7" picture disc alongside another cover of "Pink Moon" by Hannah Peel, and will mark Stevens' first outing since teaming up with Angelo De Augustine on their September collaborative album A Beginner's Mind.
The exclusive 7" single will be released with a special edition of the Pink Moon book, which features new work by artist Marcel Dzam that's inspired by travels through Mexico and Morocco.
Pink Moon will also include an introduction by Duro Olowu and an interview by Craig Taylor.
It's currently unclear if Stevens' cover of "Pink Moon" will be available digitally.
