Sturgill Simpson announces new concept album The Ballad of Dood and Juanita
Sturgill Simpson is back with news of his upcoming album The Ballad of Dood and Juanita, a concept album recorded with the same team as last year's Cuttin' Grass records.
The Ballad of Dood and Juanita will be Simpson's third album to be released within 12 months, following December's Cuttin' Grass, Vol. 2: The Cowboy Arms Sessions.
Simpson's upcoming album is a concept album which he describes as "a simple tale of either redemption or revenge."
He adds, "I just wanted to write a story - not a collection of songs that tell a story, but an actual story, front to back."
