Stream Sigur Rós' recent Boiler Room DJ set
Sigur Rós recently made their DJing debut (well, their first high-profile set anyway) at the Boiler Room in Berlin, and it wasn’t to be missed.
Before hand, they had put out a set of warnings - issuing both a disclaimer to any electronic music aficionados expecting expertise at the craft, as well as one to their loyal fans, telling them not to expect ”glacial soundscapes of awesome dimensions” or any other of the “enduring clichés” used to describe their ambient sound.
What did actually occur was a genre-hopping, but nonetheless ballsy and unrelenting, set that included everything from M.I.A to Angel Haze and even Pendulum.
