Stream Anton Newcombe and Tess Parks' Record Store Day collaboration "Cocaine Cat"
Tess Parks and Anton Newcombe (Brian Jonestown Massacre) have been collaborating for over a year now. With their debut album I Declare Nothing set for a summer release, the pair have shared their first track "Cocaine Cat" - set to see a limited release on Record Store Day.
Delectably dreamy, "Cocaine Cat" is both as addictive and aloof as its title suggests. Rich layers of refrains create a tapestry deep enough to drown in. Hypnotizing and enticing, you can practically feel yourself being lifted higher by the tracks buoyant guitars. Parks' husky vocals act as a tether through the tracks meandering refrains. "Sit back and relax," the vocals croon, "I know you'll be alright."
I Declare Nothing will see release on 29 June. "Cocaine Cat" will be available as a limited release this Saturday (18 April).
