Strand Of Oaks announces new album Hard Love, shares "Radio Kids" single/video
Strand Of Oaks have a new album coming out - hear "Radio Kids", the first song from new LP Hard Love.
A rather excellent video, directed by Christopher Good, accompanies the euphoric new single.
The record will be the follow up to 2014's HEAL. Philadelphia's Tim Showalter, who helms Strand Of Oaks, began work on the LP during a "a life-changing experience" after the tours supporting the previous LP.
“Some records are built like monuments, set in stone,” says Showalter of Hard Love. “I want this record to be burned in effigy, in celebration of the limited time we have on this earth... in a time of calculation and overthinking, I wanted to bring back the raw, impulsive nature that is the DNA of so many records I love.”
Nicolas Vernhes (The War on Drugs, Spoon) produces, with guitarist Jason Anderson contributing to the noise.
Strand Of Oaks has also announced a mammoth run of North American and European live dates, including a headline show at London's Oslo on 28 February. Find out more.
