Stormzy to close BBC One Christmas Day coverage with a Bible reading
Stormzy will do a Bible reading to close the Christmas Day coverage on BBC One.
According to The Guardian, Stormzy will read a passage from the gospel of Luke. It will tell the story of the first Christmas when angels appeared to tell shepherds about the birth of Jesus.
Stormzy's passage will be followed by a performance from South London boys’ choir Libera.
The rapper makes frequent references to God in his music. Most recently, his Heavy Is The Head track "Audacity" included the line, "When Banksy put the vest on me / Felt like God was testing me."
Yesterday (18 December), Stormzy shut down Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan after he called out the rapper for telling primary school children that Boris Johnson is a "very bad man."
The rapper is currently battling it out with Ladbaby for the Christmas Number One single, and with Rod Stewart and Harry Styles to get the top spot on the UK Albums Chart.
