Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie feature on Neil Finn's new charity single "Find Your Way Back Home"
Fleetwood Mac's Neil Finn has recruited bandmates Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie for his new charity single "Find Your Way Back Home".
Crowded House's Neil Finn joined Fleetwood Mac following the departure of Lindsey Buckingham in 2018.
"Find Your Way Back Home" is the latest single from Finn, and it's released as a charity single to benefit the Auckland City Mission, an organisation helping the homeless population in the New Zealand city.
Stevie Nicks contributes vocals to the track, and bandmate Christine McVie has a writing credit for the song.
Nicks said of the single, "I'm honoured to be a part of Neil's song for the Auckland City Mission. He is on a mission to make this work and I think this beautiful song he has written will certainly help."
Speaking to The New Zealand Herald last week, Finn said the song was inspired by an encounter with someone from his childhood at the city mission. He added, "I live in a pretty fortunate situation, and I move in circles that are not in daily contact with homeless people. So, it's good to be able to find a pathway in your head to relate to some degree."
Finn continued, "I haven't felt compelled to go down that path in terms of speaking out. But in terms of trying to do some kindly acts as you strike situations, I think that's compulsive and we should all be trying to do that."
