Steve Gunn and The Black Twig Pickers announce collaborative LP Seasonal Hire
American undergound folk heroes The Black Twig Pickers and Steve Gunn have joined forces for their debut collaborative full-length.
The two acts have worked together in the past, but Seasonal Hire will mark the first time they set a bevy of ideas to wax. Known for transforming long-forgotten Virginian folk songs, The Black Twig Pickers have garnered immense praise in dedicated circles, and Steve Gunn's virtuoso-level strumming has led him to create/co-create nine records since '07. Together, they use adventurous recording techniques to sculpt a moving collection of music and demonstrate the range of their experimental talents.
Seasonal Hire will be released on 23 February via Thrill Jockey in Europe, and will be available on LP, CD and digital download.
