Steve Earle to record covers album of Justin Townes Earle songs
Steve Earle has announced that he's planning to record a covers album of songs by his late son Justin Townes Earle.
Justin Townes Earle, the son of Steve Earle, died last month aged 38.
Yesterday (16 September) Steve Earle announced that he'll record a covers album of songs by his late son with his touring band The Dukes.
The covers album is due to be released in January 2021, on what would be Justin Townes Earle's 39th birthday.
Although the tracklist, title and artwork is yet to be revealed, Earle did confirm that all proceeds from the album will be put into a trust fund for Townes Earle's daughter, Etta St. James.
