Steve Albini names new Shellac album Dude, Incredible
Alt-rock trio, Shellac will be dropping their fifth studio album sometime this year, what will be their first new material in six years. Now, the band’s frontman and leader, Steve Albini has revealed its title to be Dude, Incredible.
The group’s follow up to 2007′s Excellent Italian Greyhound has not been given a firm release date, but it’s expected to drop before the year’s end.
“You know, that sort of stuff doesn’t really mean anything anymore,” Albini told The Chicagoist. “The people who buy records are not lining up at the record store on the day of release.”
The album has, however, been confirmed to be nine tracks in length, with ‘Dude, Incredible’ also the name of one of its songs.
